Meet Sally Bahner
We’re excited to introduce you to our latest cat industry expert. Sally has an amazing level of subject authority, certifications, and achievements that make her a great addition to the Maine Coon Central editorial team.
Sally E. Bahner has decades of experience as a writer and editor with various local print and online newspapers.
She was the founding editor-in-chief of The Whole Cat Journal and is a regular contributor to various cat-related publications, specializing in behavior, nutrition, holistic care, and the Russian Blue breed.
She has also spoken extensively on those topics.
Bahner is the author of the recently published book, “The Art of Raising a Kitten,” available on Amazon, which won a Certificate of Excellence in the 2022 Cat Writers’ Association Communications Contest.
She is an award-winning member of the Cat Writers’ Association and Society of Professional Journalists; she is also a member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants.
An equal opportunity cat owner, she confesses that Russian Blues have been her passion for more than 30 years. She now has “only” two cats, Russian Blues Sofiya and Zilya.
